P.O. Athinai-Goudis donates €80,000 of medical equipment to the Kalymnos Hospital

A significant donation to the General Hospital - Health Center of Kalymnos "To Vouvalio" was made by the Rotary Club of Athens-Goudis during the visit of its delegation to the island on Friday, December 5, 2025.

The Group's delegation, consisting of Rotarians Kosmas Choutouriadis, Nikos Karamfillis, Christos Gogos, Thomas Karachristos and Olga Anagnostopoulou, was received by the hospital's administrator Pantelis Koga, the mayor of Kalymnia Ioannis Mastrokoukos and the deputy mayor Kalliopi Koutouzi.

As part of the visit, the Rotary Club delivered medical equipment worth a total of 80,000 euros to the hospital . The equipment includes, among others:

• Three modern NIKKISO DGB-EXA dialysis machines to strengthen the Artificial Kidney Unit,

• Surgical diathermy, suction and resection

  peace for the needs of the operating room,

• Mechanical column scale for the obstetrics department.

The hospital director expressed his warm thanks to the Rotary Club, noting that the donation substantially strengthens the infrastructure and the ability to provide quality health services to the residents of Kalymnos and the surrounding islands. For his part, the mayor described the initiative as particularly important for supporting the local community.

The Rotary Club of Athens-Goudis, consistent with its principles and mission, continues to implement social service activities, promoting Rotary's work for the benefit of public health and society as a whole.
